Marsh Wind Woods was founded in 1994 by Charles M. Smith, a man who built more than custom woodworking projects; he built a legacy of family, craftsmanship, and faith. A 4th-generation Michigander, he poured his life into the land and into a post-retirement hobby that became the foundation of his family's future. His belief was simple: if you do honest work with integrity and care, you'll never have to worry about the quality of your name.

His first grandson, Colin Ellsworth, grew up working beside him, learning the same principles of hard work, respect, and accountability. Over the next three decades, Colin continued to build on those lessons by developing deep experience in home improvement, handyman services, renovation projects, and custom woodworking. Even during his years in corporate leadership, he spent nights and weekends flipping homes in multiple states, staying true to the trade that shaped his life. After moving to East Tennessee, Colin began reviving the family business to carry Grandpa Charlie's legacy forward. Though Charlie has since passed, his values live on in every project Marsh Wind Woods takes on.

Now licensed, bonded, and insured, Marsh Wind Woods proudly serves Monroe, Blount, Loudon, and surrounding counties in East Tennessee.
